I get so pissed off when I hear bad customer service responses. Some of them just outright deny responsibility and some are slightly more subtle. Here are my favourites:
“Nobody else has complained about … before” - means one of two things; they have and we can’t be arsed dealing with it or we don’t believe you.
“We’re sorry to hear that you’ve had a problem with …” - we’d rather you didn’t complain, you’ve just given us more work. This one really annoys me. Apologise for the issue, not the customer complaining.
“Thank you for your patience” - sorry we’re taking so long.
I may add to this list. I really wish companies would just accept responsibility. I know some customers can be nightmares and sometimes they blame the company because they don’t understand how a product or service works but when there’s a genuine issue, deal with it appropriately.
